The coronation of King Charles III is next month. A fun way to celebrate with your children is to make your own crown or tiara. You can wear it that day and then have a fun accessory for the future! Believe it or not, there are a number of places you can wear a crown:

  • Playtime: Kids can wear them when they play dress up or when they are just feeling a bit regal.
  • Birthdays: Both adults and children can celebrate a birthday by wearing a tiara or crown to commemorate the occasion.
  • Halloween or costume party: Dress up as a king, queen, prince, or princess.
  • Renaissance fairs: When you go to a ren faire, it is fun to dress up! Your mediaeval-themed costume could include a royal headpiece.
  • Special occasions:
    • A bride may wear a floral crown at her wedding, or for her bachelorette party.
    • On her 15th birthday, a girl may wear a tiara during her quinceañera celebration.
    • Oh, and at a beauty pageant the winner is always crowned!
