Learn how to make cute lace crafts with a variety of projects including decor, gifts, fashion, jewelry, and more. Perfect for beginners!
If you met me in person, you probably wouldn’t describe me as very “lacy.” By that I mean, you probably wouldn’t expect that I would like it or use it in crafts.
My home isn’t very rustic or vintage-y or farmhouse, even though I do like farmhouse decor. It’s just that I’ve always tended towards modern and bright colors . . . that’s my jam.
The thing is, I like lace. I really like it! I think it’s frilly and pretty and the inner girl that is buried deep down inside under an old t-shirt and overalls really enjoys it.
It’s an obvious craft item for sewing, but I think it’s also fun to make crafts with – of all kinds, as well as sewn projects. In fact, I’ve used it many times here on the blog, and I’m excited to show you!
I picked a bunch of lace crafts I’ve made, and added in some other essentials I think everyone should try. If you haven’t added lace to mason jars, and clothing, and coasters . . . what are you even doing with your life?
Besides Mod Podge and a good old fashioned needle and thread, there are a few other supplies I wanted to highlight for your projects: fabric stiffener and fabric adhesive.
The stiffener is better than decoupage medium for making your lace hold its form. The adhesive is simply a glue that is great for fabric, so that you don’t have to sew. Both are really easy to use.
If you’re ready to jump into the project ideas, check out the list below. Let me know which is your favorite in the comments. Or if I left a favorite lace-y craft off my list, let me know that too. Enjoy!
