I don’t know about you, but I’ve had times in my life where I wear more jewelry than others. One of those times was in the early 90s, when I went to high school.
It was cool, at least where I lived, to have earrings all the way up your ear as well as rings on almost every finger. I had three holes on each ear and then a cartilage piercing that never, ever healed (and I finally had to take the earring out).
But I wore a lot of earrings and a lot of rings. I even slept and showered in all of it. 😮
Then in my mid-20s there was the layered necklace phase. Early 30s brought bracelets, especially chunky wood ones. As I entered my 40s, I stopped wearing jewelry at all.
But that’s changing again.
After years of not wearing jewelry, I’ve started wearing earrings again. I only have two holes left in each ear, but I don’t need to be my 90s self again. Four earrings is fine!
One thing that was lacking when I bought a ton of new earrings on Etsy was the storage. After all those years, I didn’t have a jewelry box or anything. SO. I knew it was time to make something to store it all.
And now I’m sharing with you some DIY jewelry organizers – so that if you’re in the same boat? You can have some handmade storage solutions available to you as well!
I’m absolutely sure there’s something in this collection of organizers that you’ll love and want to make. The reason I say that is because there’s everything from simple hooks to a complete cabinet build.
So no matter what you need, how you want it to look, and how much jewelry you have . . . you’re bound to get an idea to try. Check them out and let me know what you think in the comments! Also, how do you store your jewelry?
