Are you looking for a quick and easy gift? Or a way to add a little “shazaam” to your home decor? I don’t know why I’m even asking that – of course you are! A DIY vase just like this one would also work for parties or wedding centerpieces. Though unless you love brights like I do, you’ll probably want to go with a different color palette (please e-mail me to be best friends if you would have this at your wedding).
It took me about ten minutes to make this minus dry time, so if you need several, it won’t take long at all. Click through to see how I made it.
Gather These Supplies
- $1 vase from Dollar Tree
- Mod Podge Gloss
- Scrapbook paper – one sheet
- Paper flowers – coordinating
- Craft glue
- Craft knife
Measure and then trim your paper to fit your vase – I cut the paper a bit shorter so that some glass would be peaking out on each end. Leave a little bit of length horizontally so that you can have some overlap after you Mod Podge (but not too much, try for 1/8″).
Use the craft glue to adhere the ribbon to the top and bottom, covering where the paper meets the glass.
Add flowers and buttons with craft glue. Let dry.
