DIY Party Cups Dipped in Confetti

Hiii – Jessica here from The Confetti Bar, the coolest confetti shop on the block, where we believe happiness should be celebrated! It’s my mission in life to confetti all kinds of things, and party crafts are always at the top of the list.

I did a crazy pineapple centerpiece and some champagne bottles that I know are going to make a statement.

But then I also did these goodie bags, DIY envelopes (for your invites!), and this DIY confetti banner! If you’re truly going to have a confetti themed celebration, it’s not going to be enough. You’re going to want to confetti some cups.

These easy DIY party cups are quick to whip up, but will certainly make your next event extra special (and colorful!). They’re perfect for birthday, graduation, wedding, and just about any celebration.

Supplies:

  • Plastic (or paper) party cups
  • Confetti!
  • Mod Podge Matte (you can use any kind, but if you want to get a little extra fancy, try some Sparkle Mod Podge so you get a subtle glitter effect behind the confetti!)
  • Sponge brush (+ a plate to pour the Mod Podge to dip your brush for easy application)

Start by adding a thick layer of Mod Podge to the bottom 1/3 – 1/2 of your party cups.

Then roll your cup in a pile of colorful confetti. (You may need to “press” the confetti on with your hand in some spots.)

Repeat with all of your party cups and let dry completely. *If you want a “fuller” confetti look, once you let the first layer of confetti dry, go back in for a second coat of Mod Podge and confetti.
