Confetti Letters for Party or Decor

If you love confetti crafts, try this easy monogram letter art! This technique can be used with a variety of letters, numbers, and shapes.

Skills Required: None. Even if you’ve never crafted before, you’ll be able to do this project. You’ll be applying confetti to paper with Mod Podge.

Hey, hey! Jessica here from The Confetti Bar, the coolest confetti shop on the block, where we believe happiness should be celebrated! Since I believe everything is better with confetti, a cute piece of letter wall art is no exception.

As you can imagine, a purveyor of confetti loves a good celebration and, along with that, party crafts! This would be a fun activity at a birthday party, with each person customizing their own letter.

Best part? This technique can be used with a variety of letter, numbers, and shapes! If you are looking for some confetti crafts to try  – this is a perfect place to start! It’s fun for both kids and adults . . . it would also be an awesome summer craft idea for littles to try.

Confetti Art

Gather These Supplies

  • Printed image on a sheet of cardstock (try making the color light so that way it won’t show through if you miss any spots!)
  • Confetti!
  • Mod Podge
  • Brush(es) (+ a plate to pour the Mod Podge to dip your brush for easy application)
Add Mod Podge to the printed page with a brush

Start by painting the letter with Mod Podge – you want a light-medium coat. You need to work quickly since it will dry quickly!

Coat the entire area with Mod Podge

DIY Confetti Letter Art

Sprinkle some confetti on top, pressing down to get as much to stick to the Mod Podge as possible.

Shake off the excess confetti and let dry for a an hour or so. Add a second coat of Mod Podge over the confetti that’s already stuck, sprinkle on more confetti, tap off excess, and let dry overnight.

You can touch up particular areas that are missing confetti as well.

  • Printed image on a sheet of cardstock

Instructions

  1. Print out a letter on your computer using the font of your choice. Turn it light gray.
  2. Start by painting the letter with Mod Podge, using a medium coat and working quickly.
  3. Sprinkle some confetti on top, pressing down to get as much to stick to the Mod Podge as possible.
  4. Shake off the excess confetti and let dry for a an hour or so.
  5. Add a second coat of Mod Podge over the confetti that's already stuck, sprinkle on more confetti, tap off excess, and let dry overnight.
