Wash and rinse your bottle and let dry.
Trace the shape of the holder on the top half of the bottle with a pen. Draw straight across the front and then curve upwards around the back.
Cut off the top of the bottom using a box cutter or kitchen scissors. Smooth the rough edges with sandpaper.
Sand the bottle to rough up the surface. If the bottle isn't white, spray paint the outside with spray primer.
Cut a piece of fabric that is large enough to wrap around the phone holder and an inch or two taller on the top and bottom.
Turn the holder to the front and apply a medium layer of Mod Podge with the brush.
Place the fabric on top, centering, and smooth down.
Apply more Mod Podge around the side of the bottle and continue to lay the fabric down right against it, pulling tightly as you wrap.
When you get to the back, overlap the fabric edges. Smooth the fabric all the way around the bottle. Then cut a straight line up the back of the container, trimming off the excess fabric.
Trim around the entire bottle, cutting off the fabric close to the edge. Apply a thick layer of Mod Podge over all of the fabric. Seal around all edges of fabric with the Mod Podge, ensuring that the fabric won’t peel off.
Cut a shape of fabric to fit the bottom of the bottle. Place a layer of Mod Podge on the bottom and place the fabric shape down. Apply another coat of Mod Podge.
Set the bottle upside down on a bottle so so that it can dry without touching anything.
Once it’s dry, use a box cutter/craft knife to cut out the opening. You may need to apply more Mod Podge around the opening and allow to dry again.
Use your blade to trim all the way around the bottle, trimming off any dried fabric, strings, or Mod Podge.
