What I Did this Weekend and Father’s Day is Coming

June 13, 2010 by Amy

Recently I went to a very fun sewing workshop at Whipstitch here in Atlanta. You see, I heard that Dana from Made was coming and I had to meet her! Dana is primarily a seamstress, but she does Mod Podge every now and again. Since I’ve been sewing for a long time (although it’s taken a backseat to decoupage), I thought it would be fun to participate in a Saturday workshop, and it was. We had a blast! I also met some other awesome bloggers. Please visit my new-found friends. They rock!

I LOVE summer! I just love anytime my kids are home all day with me. I feel like I never get enough of them! We are going to Yellowstone. For us that is 2 days of driving each way. whew! But we’re making the drive part of the fun. Plus, halfway we’ll get to visit my Grandmother (who is my absolute favorite person in the world! She’s the ideal Grandma and I’m so thankful my kids have gotten to know her!). Should all be a TON of fun! Hope yours is a good one. Looks like you’ve started your summer off with a bang!

Help me please! The three short people that live in my home are holding me hostage. They’ve taken control of the Mod Podge, the scrapping table, and the craft closet. This summer, we were planning to clean all of the floors in the house with toothbrushes. And every week we were going to mow the lawn – by hand, with scissors. Apparently the short trio has a better plan. I can hear them talking about scrapbooking and altered art projects. OH NO, one of them said we’re out of Mod Podge! They’re coming for me and my purse. SHHHH, don’t let them hear you – just save me from a summer without Mod Podge! aaaauuuuuuggghhhhhh!!!!

Oh how I love a good give away! I LOVE this blog and I get so many ideas from it, that have transformed my husband and I’s old school 1950’s house into our very own (FIRST) HOME! I’m trying to get my blog set up with my craftiness but I am always SO busy. I have a million projects that I have made that I would love to share, when I get a chance to even take a moment to myself. Which is why I am SUPER excited for summer. I am cutting down my hours at work to keep me from going insane 🙂 So I can have time to get my Boutique up and going. I am SO excited!

My first comment on your blog! I’ve never used Mod podge, but I’m so excited to start making cool things!

This summer I’m looking forward to a few weddings and time at the beach!

Hi there, Love your blog. I am looking forward to going up to Boston or down to Baltimore for a couple of weekends for the summer. Days/nights at the beach after work with the kids. I didn’t know they make so much mod podge.

What a great giveaway! I’m looking forward to enjoying popsicles on our front porch, looking at our beautiful flowers. 🙂 Thanks for the opportunity!
