This simple lace vase DIY will brighten your spring! You can decoupage a Dollar Tree glass vase with a doily. You can also make it washable with Dishwasher Safe Mod Podge.
I love picking up a small bouquet of flowers from my local grocery store. This spring craft is a cheap and easy way to bring the outdoors inside.
You can make your floral arrangement even more special by grabbing a cheap bud vase and some Mod Podge. I recently received these beautiful paper lace doilies from my mother-in-law and I knew I wanted to adhere one to a vase.
This lace vase was a really simple and easy decoupage craft. This project would be perfect for any beginner! Let me show you.
Lace Vase DIY
- Mod Podge (Dishwasher safe formula)
- Paper doily
- Glass bud vase
- Rubbing alcohol
Clean the glass thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and allow it to dry.
Using your brush, apply a layer of Mod Podge to the glass and the back of your paper doily. (I do suggest using either the outdoor formula or dishwasher safe formula so that the Mod Podge is resistant to water since you will be using the vase to hold your flowers).
Allow the decoupage to dry and apply at least two more layers over the doily to seal it. Allow the glue to cure according to the manufacturer’s instructions before use.
Applying it as a simple cylindrical shape on the glass also gives it a slightly modern feel. It will be the perfect vessel for holding a few blooms this spring!
