Impress your friends with these vintage record candle plates as a centerpiece on the table. They are easy to make with cardstock and Mod Podge!
With the holidays here, it’s time to think about holiday table decorations.
This year make your Friendsgiving table sing (pun intended)! Impress your friends with these vintage record candle plates as a centerpiece on the table. These simple plates would work for any kind of a party, really – and they are so easy to make!
One of the best parts of this project is that you can find old records at the thrift store AND you probably already have paper in your stash . . . making this project nearly free. Here’s how you do it.
- Vintage records
- Fun cardstock paper
- Mod Podge Gloss
- Tea lights
Take a piece of cardstock paper and a round tupperware lid. The lid has to be medium size. Trace the edge unto the paper and then cut it out.
Place the cardstock circle upside down on top of the record. Use the side of the pencil to rub the edge of the inner circle of the record. Cut this part out.
Brush Mod Podge on the cut out, flip and adhere it to the record. The inner circle should line up with the edge of the record inner circle . . . basically to keep the title on display. Allow to fully dry before placing a tea light in the center.
These candle plates are the perfect size! Now you have some retro vintage centerpieces!!
