Learn how to makeover Dollar Tree votive candle holders for a summer dinner party or a beach themed wedding. Very budget friendly!
On a recent trip to the Dollar Tree I found these cute votive candles in a pack of three. I knew these would be a perfect craft to use some Mod Podge on and fancy them up! I (of course) was excited to pull out some of my glitter for this dollar store craft.
If you know me then you know I just LOVE using some glitter. I usually use it on my kids crafts, but this time I decided to use it for my own craft.
Makeover Dollar Tree Votive Candle Holders
Gather These Supplies
- Mod Podge Matte
- Tealight Candle Holders
- Washi Tape
Since I just got the votive candles, all I needed to do was roundup my glitter and Mod Podge. Oh yeah, then all I needed to do was wait for the kids to take a nap so I could get crafting!
Step 1 – Add Your Mod Podge and Glitter
I did three different styles for my Dollar Tree votive Candle holders. The first one I covered the entire candle holder with Mod Podge and sprinkled some glitter on top.
The second, I used the end of a pencil and made dots on the side of the candle holder and sprinkled my glitter on top.
Finally the third one I used my “trusty” washi tape and taped off the bottom. I added my Mod Podge and then my glitter.
To finish off my candles I added some battery operated tealights I found at the Dollar Tree was well!! This whole project was totally on budget.
