Here’s how to do a simple bracelet makeover with Mod Podge on a piece of jewelry. Make something old new again with a pop of glitter!
Today I’m sharing a simple makeover on an old piece of jewelry I have. I’ve had this piece for probably 10 years now. I just haven’t worn it in forever. But for some reason I’ve never tossed it.
So I thought I would give it a quick makeover for my friends little girl to play dress up with. I have three boys so I don’t do too many girly crafts. I was pretty excited!
This is what the bracelet looked like before. I guess 10 years ago I must have loved it, not so much anymore . . .
Easy Bracelet Makeover
For this craft you’re going to need:
- Mod Podge
- Paint Brush
I already had everything on hand for this project. I rounded up my “handy dandy” Mod Podge, glitter and some paint.
Let’s get crafting!
Step 1 – Paint Bracelet
I painted the bracelet first, making sure to paint the front, back and sides. I let each section dry a couple minutes.
Step 2 – Add Mod Podge and Glitter
Then I went an added some Mod Podge in the indents of the bracelet, using that as my guide.
Next I sprinkled on my glitter. See this is a super simple craft!!
Once the Mod Podge dries, then your ready to start wearing it!
Since I’m going to surprise my friends little girl with it I did the bracelet myself. But this is a perfect craft for any kid to do.
I hope you can get some great inspiration with this craft. Maybe give some of those old pieces of jewelry a quick makeover with some Mod Podge.
