Use Mod Podge to decoupage these unique DIY baby blocks. Sara made the base from paper mache and scrap wood for a completely recycled craft.
I’ve posted some different baby/kids’ blocks before, but Sara from Creative Jewish Mom has an added twist on hers.
She’s added a paper mache base to some recycled scrap wood pieces and then decoupaged napkins right over the top.
The paper mache helped make an even surface for Mod Podging – and you could this same technique to make baby blocks out of other recycled surfaces too.
I actually find these decoupage blocks to be shelf worthy as decor. For the full tutorial, visit Sara here.
Note: Mod Podge is an acrylic, waterbased and non-toxic product, so it is okay for your children to handle. However, I don’t recommend your child keeping one in their mouth for an extended period of time as Mod Podge is not food safe.
