Hello friends! Ready for one of the easiest vintage projects ever?!? This is one of my favorite home decor pieces in my craft room, and it was so incredibly easy to make! You need just a few supplies, and the end result is a fun and eclectic way to showcase a vintage relic.
Remember View-Master slides?? I am not going to lie, I have some old sets that I still love to look at. Even my tech loving kids enjoy viewing them again and again.
I purchased a whole stack a while back on eBay for around a dollar each. What a steal! They are actually really affordable to purchase, and easy to find too. And the best part, they come in these delightful sleeves!
I used the reels to create a fun party banner, but I ended up with a bunch of sleeves I didn’t know what to do with. Now I have tons of decorated bottles that I can use as gifts for friends!
To get started on this decoupage vintage project, you need just a few supplies. A View-Master reel sleeve, a paint brush, Mod Podge Gloss finish, scissors, and a glass bottle. I am using a vintage bottle I found at a yard sale, but even a new glass bottle would look great!
Next, with your paint brush coat the backside of the sleeve and the glass bottle with a thin coat of Mod Podge.
Allow the Mod Podge to dry completely, and add a second coat if needed.
That’s it, super easy!
I am using my bottle to store my favorite paint brushes, but I have already made a dozen to use as flower vases for friends. Now that all of my spring flowers are in full-bloom, I have the perfect vase for sharing them!
Thanks for letting me share my simple vintage bottle with you! I can’t wait to share what I have in the works for next month! Don’t forget to visit me on my blog, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram.
