I recently had a revelation and at the same time I realized I hadn't given a personal update in quite awhile - so technically this post is long overdue. It begins with a realization that I had just yesterday. I was sitting at a craft table, painting a stool in superhero colors for an upcoming big project. I was talking student loans with my Continue Reading

Welcome, Erika, to Mod Podge Rocks.

erikaatteandbaby

I am so thrilled to introduce Erika from Oops, I Craft My Pants as a new editor of Mod Podge Rocks! She's going to be helping me with MPR features and posts, and I'm so grateful for her. She's smart, funny (her husband Tyler is funny too) and has the cutest baby Eloise: I pulled this older pic of Eloise from Erika's blog - it was during the Continue Reading

Breast cancer and its impact on my life.

Bev+Mom+Suzi1

Do you have any family members you've lost to cancer? I do - several of them. One is my grandmother, Beverly, pictured above with my mom (left) and Aunt Suzi. We lost her at age 57 to breast cancer. My family history with cancer is not good, especially on my mother's side. Most of our relatives have died of this terrible disease, and my mom had Continue Reading

Don't you think life is interesting? I never, ever thought I'd be a blogger. And I sure never thought that I'd eventually be doing it full time. And I also remember when we finally did get the internet and dial up; my dad would surf the net Continue Reading

On May 21st I had to make the decision to put my pug Nellie to sleep, at 13 1/2 years old. If stories about pets make you sad or you are very sensitive, you might not want to read . . . but I would like to tell her story because I want everyone to know how amazing she was. And maybe I'm just hoping that she can touch you even a fraction of the way Continue Reading

xworkbook1.png.pagespeed.ic_.G6HHAOjGJ01

As many of you know, this has been a crazy year for me. I've been all over the place, and while I've maintained my business, I've had a hard time keeping a clear picture of what-the-nuts I'm doing. My friend Brittni from Papernstitch suggested I try out her Track This workbook - it's all about creating and tracking your goals for a year. My answer Continue Reading

Mod Podge Rocks the book – it’s out!

Mod Podge Rocks book

So I told you that my new book was coming out June 5th - turns out that it's already on the market! I'd love for you to check it out, and if you are so inclined, to give it a thumbs up. It's full of projects (over 40) and there is instruction in the front on how to Mod Podge. Maybe a great gift idea? Maybe a great coffee table book? Anyhoo, Continue Reading
