I'm so old I barely remember graduation. Haha! Actually I remember my master's degree graduation quite clearly. It was nine years ago, and since I didn't go to my college undergraduate ceremony, I was finally able to wear the cap and gown and go through the whole experience.
Graduations are exciting milestones and deserve a bit of celebrating!
That's why I've put together these Duck Tape graduation crafts. I mean, look at this roll of Duck Tape with the metallic gold stars . . . is it not perfect?? I saw it and thought that it was the right choice for graduation crafts . . . and any party crafts really. I'm going to show you how to make three items: a money card holder (with a free template provided), a banner, and a bow for packages. All three Duck Tape craft ideas are REALLY easy. Anyone can do them!
Gather These Supplies
For the bow:
For the banner:
- Baker's twine
For the money holder:
- Money holder template
- Double stick tape
Simply place one piece of Duck Tape, 12″ long, down on your craft mat or non-stick surface. You'll overlap three pieces in this same way. If you go a little bit further than 12″, use your craft knife and ruler to trim.
Peel the tape up and turn it over. Cut a piece of baker's twine the length of your entire banner and, starting at one end (leave a little bit of baker's twine for hanging), put your baker's twine in the middle of the Duck Tape.
Now onto the Duck Tape bow topper!
Download the money envelope template here. Print full-size.
You'll cut out and assemble the envelope according to instructions. (with double stick tape). It's easy-peasy to cover the gift card holder with Duck Tape. Do the outside and trim, then the front side and trim, then cover the flap and trim!
And now you have three fun Duck Tape graduation crafts! You don't have to go with this Duck Tape pattern either – pick something the graduate would love. Why not go for something like bacon, gummy bears, or even cats? You can see all the fun patterns available here!
