Hello friends! I feel like 2016 is going to be the year of glitter. I seriously just can't get enough of it. The only problem is it's soooo messy. Well, at least that's what I thought until I discovered Mod Podge Sparkle. It's amazing! The glitter and the glue are already mixed together, so no more big messes all over your counter . . . clothes . . . hair . . . face . . .
You get it.
And yes, I always seem to have glitter on my face. Gah!
This Valentine's Day bag toppers project is so easy, you only need a few simple supplies to get started:
To get started, first you want to trim your white paper to 4.5″ x6.5″ rectangles, then fold them in half.
For your black paper, hand cut or use a die-cut machine to cut out 4″ hearts. If you are cutting them by hand, don't stress too much about them looking perfect. In fact, if you have kids get them in on the fun!
After you have cut your hearts, staple or adhere them to your white cardstock. You can center them, or angle them on the side like I did.
Make sure your coat is really even, so you distribute the glitter evenly.
Allow your paper to dry completely, and give it another coat if you want to. The fun thing about Mod Podge Sparkle, is that the more coats you give it, the more glitter you have!
I only did one coat, and as you can see it was plenty! It really does an amazing job adding glitter to you projects.
Seriously, I can't believe I just used glitter without getting a drop on me. Soooo worth it. And look at those bag toppers sparkle! Love it. Can't wait to give these out for Valentine's Day!
