Hollywood star sunglasses craft

Hollywood star sunglasses craftHi, guys! This is Heidi from Hands Occupied. These sunglasses might be the easiest DIY known to man, but I think they’re really funny. You know how in cartoons, when someone famous or beautiful turns their head and there’s a quick sparkle of light in their eyes? That’s what inspired me to make this “glamorous” sunglasses craft.

Supplies

  • sunglasses
  • Mod Podge Gloss
  • washi or painter’s tape
  • Mod Podge Peel ‘n Stick Stencils in Starlite
  • extra fine glitter
  • paint brush
  • Mod Podge sealant (optional)

hollywood-sunglasses-1 Directions Clean and dry your sunglasses before placing one motif of your Starlite design stencil on the lower part of one of your sunglasses’ lenses. Use painter’s tape to cover up other pieces of stencil that Mod Podge or glitter might sneak in to.

hollywood-sunglasses-2 Paint a generous amount of Mod Podge over the opening of the stencil, and sprinkle a bunch of glitter over the Mod Podge + stencil. While the Mod Podge is still wet, carefully peel off the stencil and washi tape, and rinse the stencil clean.

hollywood-sunglasses-3 After the Mod Podge has dried completely, you can paint a layer of sealant over the glitter to keep it secure. That’s it! Didn’t I say this was the easiest DIY in the world?
