DIY glitter heart tote.

DIY glitter heart tote with Mod PdogeThinking of a fun and easy project to make for Valentine’s Day?? Justine from Sew Country Chick here with an easy glitter heart tote bag tutorial for you!

It’s a simple project made from one of those blank tote bags you can buy at the hobby store, red glitter, Mod Podge, and freezer paper. This would be a perfect bag for your kids to bring their Valentine’s Day stuff to school and I think it would also just be a cute bag year round!

Here is what you need:

  • Freezer paper
  • A blank tote bag
  • red paint
  • red glitter
  • Mod Podge
  • A paint pouncer applicator

totebagCut out a heart shape from some thick scrap paper. I fold the paper in half and cut the heart on the fold to make it the same on both sides. I think I learned that in the third grade? hehe.

Iron the freezer paper to the tote.

totetutorial2I like to mix equal parts Mod Podge with equal parts glitter in a Dixie cup.
