I’m always willing to try new beauty products. Let’s face it – I work from home and I don’t get out much. But when I go out, it’s a special treat! I ditch the pajamas pants and jeans for a night and actually do my hair and freshen up my skin. Since I do it so infrequently, it’s really fun. So when I got asked to try the Conair true glow Sonic Cleansing Brush and the Infiniti Pro by Conair Hair Designer Dryer, I was all in. Part of the reason being that I have a VERY simple beauty routine, and these two products address the two areas that are important to me when going out . . . I fix my hair and I exfoliate. Really, those are pretty much the only two things that are important to me. I don’t wear a lot of makeup cause I’m kind of allergic to it. So I need my skin to look as good as possible. And my hair is REALLY heavy, so I have to “lift” it to go anywhere or I look like a 70s singer. It’s bad.
Anyhoo, back to the products. I love items that give me the professional look at home, and that’s what this post is about – “glowing and going.” So that you can fix yourself up at home, right? First I tested the Sonic Cleansing Brush. Here are some points about it:
- Offers 3 speeds operating at up to 300 oscillations/second, expertly extracting dirt and makeup from pores to prevent the formation of blackheads, while leaving your skin feeling healthier
- Waterproof – suitable for use in the shower
- Half the cost of other sonic skincare brushes
That “half the cost” thing was important because I can’t afford to spend a bajillion dollars on these types of things. But I want good results. I know, I’m demanding!
I used the Sonic Cleaning Brush on my face and um . . . LOVED it! I can say, 100% without a doubt, that my skin feels cleaner. It also has a little beeper that tells you when to move it to other areas of your face. It really felt great.
Now I’m going to be honest – I was a little skeptical of the hair dryer. I actually already have a Conair hair dryer (the 1875, which I bought because it was blue). When I pulled the fancy Infiniti Pro out of the box and examined the heads, I thought first, “what is going on here?” Then I thought, “is this really going to work any better than a regular hair dryer?” And then I thought, “I’m going to have to be honest when I blog and and tell them it’s just a regular hair dryer.”
So I tried it:
And I had a brush ready just in case, because that’s how I usually “fluff” my hair during blow drying. And guess what – I didn’t need the brush. It took me a minute to get used to the new head on the Infiniti Pro, but I LOVE this thing. It is absolutely NOT a regular hair dryer! Here are some points about the product and I can tell you that all of them were true for me:
- 3-in-1 styling attachment eliminates the need for a brush during drying and reduces styling time by up to 50% (when compared to hair dryers with natural ion generation)
- Argan oil conditioning strip distributes the perfect amount of oil reducing hair breakage by up to 75% and increasing shine by up to 25% (when compared to hair dryers with natural ion generation)
- Tourmaline ceramic technology helps minimize heat damage, creating shiny, healthy-looking hair
- 2 heat/speed settings for custom styling on all hair types
- 4-position tension control adjusts for your hair’s thickness
I typically fight with my hair during blow drying. Not this time. It was awesome!!
I’m all fresh looking, and this photo is not retouched or altered at all. I’m so pleasantly surprised I can’t even tell you!
