I love my mother, but sometimes I don’t like being her daughter. Because I inherited her sweet tooth! If there is ANY reason to celebrate, I will have dessert. Mother’s Day? I have a pug – let’s celebrate! Chinese New Year? Sounds good. National Blanket Day? Yay! Let’s celebrate not being cold with sweet treats!
March 14th is “pi” day. You know, the number 3.14____. I forget the rest. I had to write a poem in high school where all of the words had to follow the same sequence of letters as pi. So the first word had to have three letters, the second one, the third four and so on. My teacher reader it out loud because she liked it – while I was totally embarrassed. I don’t remember her name, but I dedicate today’s dessert to her: real apple pie.
This Marie Callender’s pie was singing to me from the freezer section last night. It was only $5 for a delicious pie that you just pop into the oven, heat and eat. It came with crumb topping. And it tastes like something I would have made from scratch (or someone else would have made that makes really good stuff, since I’m not a baker).
Marie Callender’s pies are quick and easy and come in a wide variety of flavors. It’s pi day – you need this! A few other things:
- You can see, rate and review any of Marie Callender’s products here
- Go here to check out Marie Callender’s blog for party ideas, how-tos and more
- Download your $1.50 coupon (expires 3/21) to celebrate with a pie here. It’s good at national retailers
Happy PI day my friends!!!

Yum! That looks good! When I taught high school, the math department always did a super fun pi day.
Looks delish! We use to have a PI day party and everyone would bring their favorite pie. I think would gain 5 pounds during that party.
I hate math, but I love pie. (I take it back… I like math enough to appreciate that $1.50 off a pie is a good number.) Score! Thanks!
That pie is making me hungry! And I’m with your – any reason to celebrate is a good reason for sweets.
Yum!! My hubs would like this one—I’m a chocaholic.
Love pie and pi day!!
One word: yum!
I love Marie Callender’s pies, and especially holidays like Pi Day where it’s fine for me to eat one all by myself
Mmmmmmmmm pie! I love pie not so much on pi (never was good at math) but I’ll happily eat pie to celebrate.
