Hello, Podgers! I’m Rhonda, also known as Mrs. Greene, but you might know me from Dollar Store Crafts as well. I am one of those crafters who uses Mod Podge at every possible opportunity, so I am very excited to be here today sharing a paper necklace project with you! This paper flower necklace is something I whipped up as a bridal shower gift for a friend who loves jewelry and jewel tones. It was so simple to make, and absolutely she loved it!
Gather These Supplies
Paper flowers
Matte Mod Podge
Sparkle Mod Podge
Paintbrush
Decorative brad
Glue-on bail
Jewelry glue
Chain

The packages of paper flowers I bought had flowers in two sizes. I used both sizes in two different colors layered together.

Paint the back side of each paper flower with matte Mod Podge to help add stiffness and durability to the petals. When that is dry, flip them over and paint the fronts with sparkle Mod Podge.

Stack the two layers together and secure them together with a decorative paper brad through the center.

Flip the flower over and glue a bail to the back.

String it on a chain and your paper necklace is ready to wear!

Blogger who loves the color blue and sock monkeys. You can find me in public easily— I'm wearing glasses and lots of stripes.

WHAT!? There is SPARKLE Mod Podge!? This is news to me…and I must have some!
Thanks. I tried to find them at AC Moore. I will try Michael’s and JoAnn’s.
Where can I find those paper flowers? I wasn’t able to find them.
Hi Natasha – they sell them at craft stores like Michaels and JoAnns near scrapbooking. Thanks!
