Sparkle Mod Podge paper necklace.

Sparkle Mod Podge paper necklace

Hello, Podgers! I’m Rhonda, also known as Mrs. Greene, but you might know me from Dollar Store Crafts as well. I am one of those crafters who uses Mod Podge at every possible opportunity, so I am very excited to be here today sharing a paper necklace project with you! This paper flower necklace is something I whipped up as a bridal shower gift for a friend who loves jewelry and jewel tones. It was so simple to make, and absolutely she loved it!

Gather These Supplies

Paper flowers
Matte Mod Podge
Sparkle Mod Podge
Paintbrush
Decorative brad
Glue-on bail
Jewelry glue
Chain

2 - paperflowers

The packages of paper flowers I bought had flowers in two sizes. I used both sizes in two different colors layered together.

3 - Mod Podged paper flowers

Paint the back side of each paper flower with matte Mod Podge to help add stiffness and durability to the petals. When that is dry, flip them over and paint the fronts with sparkle Mod Podge.

4 - assembled flower necklace

Stack the two layers together and secure them together with a decorative paper brad through the center.

5 - glue on bail

Flip the flower over and glue a bail to the back.

6 - flower necklace

String it on a chain and your paper necklace is ready to wear!

  1. [...] I am excited to say that today I was a guest poster on one of my favorite blogs, Mod Podge Rocks! I suppose it was only a matter if time, since I put Mod Podge on just about everything I possibly can. (It’s kind of an addiction.) The necklace was a gift for a friend at her bridal shower, and she loved it! She had no idea until I told her that it’s made out I paper! [go to the tutorial] [...]
