Wrapping gifts on a budget.

Dollar General Gift Wrap

I’m one of those people that doesn’t like to spend a ton on gift wrap – I love wrapping gifts and want my presents to look nice, but I want to put most of the money into the gift. This year I added to my gift wrap collection with a visit to the Dollar General Gift Center. My budget was $10, and I want to show you everything that I got. I think my gifts look like a million bucks!

So we are huge fans of Star Wars in my family as you know, and I had to get two of my brothers the Star Wars pancake molds. Who doesn’t love Darth Vader for breakfast?

Here are some of the supplies that I purchased in addition to the pancake molds. Check out the list of all my goodies:

  • Poinsettia gift bag, $2
  • Don’t open gift bag, $2
  • Gift tissue dots, $1
  • Gift tissue snowflakes $1
  • Peppermint ornament, $1
  • Holiday ornament, $1
  • Holiday card pack (24), $2

I spent just over $10 with tax, and I have wrapping for more than two presents (including ornament favors) – with leftover tissue and a ton of cards.

I wrapped the awesome Star Wars presents in tissue paper . . . then put them into the gift bags.

Then I added ornaments to the gift bags as an extra touch and an extra, small present. I put tissue paper on top of the gifts inside the bags. Not only was the wrapping affordable, but it took about two minutes to put my gifts together.

Do you love my finished gifts? I’m so excited at how nice they look. My brothers will love the packaging and of course, what’s in there. Yahoo!
