Indulgent moments in my day.

A lot of people don’t know this about me, but I have a Forestry undergrad degree. Funny, huh? How does one go from being a regular in the woods to someone who sits behind a computer all day? Well, that is a long story . . . but blogging is what I do now full time. So when I’m going to take an indulgent moment during the day, what I like to do is get outside. Particularly if I can be near water. Maybe that is the Seattlite in me?

I love to get outside as much as possible and take walks and enjoy the fresh air. I think working at home necessitates this. Yet it’s really hard to pull myself away from my work and get outside . . . time passes by quickly when you are writing about crafts! I’ve been doing a lot better lately – I’m proud of myself over the past few months, because I’ve been taking a lot better care of myself and stepping away from the computer a lot more.

I love the mountains too. I used to mountaineer and camp all the time, one of the hard things about being in the south. I even own snowshoes! Considering that I’m wearing flip flops right now and it’s mid-December, I never get to use them, but I hang on in the hopes that one day I’ll bust them out again.

We do have a beautiful lake here called Lake Lanier. If I get a chance, I love to head up to the water and hang out and just watch the boats go by. I live pretty far from the lake now (I used to live a lot closer), so if I get to head up there it’s a very indulgent moment – but sometimes you just have to take time for yourself.

I particularly like to be outside with a warm beverage in hand, which is about the best thing in the world. Which brings me to another indulgence – Cafe Escapes. These new K-cups are quite delicious.
