I am a sucker for dog products. Probably because I’m a huge sucker for dogs, especially my pug Roxie. Also known as the “piggy” and also known as “Peggy.” I’m not sure how Roxie turned to Peggy, but she has the nickname now. She responds if I hold a cracker.
Recently my friend Stacie sent me a BarkBox, and I had to share because I knew some of you would love it just as much as I do. Because some of you are big dog lovers like I am. BarkBox is a monthly subscription service for dog goodies, if you were wondering. A service that also donates 10% of proceeds to animal shelters and rescues. My pets have always been rescues and I volunteered for rescue for a long time, so I love that!
Here’s Roxie with her box.
Just sniffin’ around. So many wonderful things.
The boxes are designed by the size of your dog – small, medium or large. This was one of the toys in the box, which was hilarious. There were others.
Very stylish “refuse” bags. Roxie is sniffing . . . yeah, those are for you, piggie.
This fresh breath stuff is essential. I’m so thrilled I got it because lately Roxie’s mouth has smelled like a cougar pit.
Being a piggie, these natural treats were her focus. So, I had to share her trick with you.
She keeps a treat on her paw until I release her. Haha! Your dog is probably more talented than mine, but this is a big win for me.
Does anyone else have a dog who refuses to look at the treats you are giving him/her until you place them in her mouth? As if not to get too excited . . .
The BarkBox was a HUGE hit around here! I loved it so much that the day after I got it, I signed up for a six-month subscription. I can’t wait to get the next one. If you want to sign up for BarkBox, go here.

Blogger who loves the color blue and sock monkeys. You can find me in public easily— I'm wearing glasses and lots of stripes.

Your dog is just to adorable…..love that face….my dogs wouldn’t do that….but they will sit and lay down….which is a pretty good achievement for them…LOL….
I’ve never seen anything like this….will have to check them out…thanks for sharing….
What a great idea! I have two dogs of VERY different sizes, so maybe I’d need to order for a med. sized dog to make sure they can all play along! Sounds like so much fun to receive a surprise box in the mail like that…
Funny – one of our dogs has the nickname Bark Box. He honestly barks at falling leaves. Or his shadow. Or our new car. Or the trash when we put it out for collection. Out of four Chihuahuas he is the only one who barks constantly. (Although the best trick the other three do is to sing along. None of that tough treat-on-the-paw stuff here!)
They are all rescue dogs – so I’m thinking I’m obligated to this. Not only do I love surprise deliveries (therefore, so do they!), but one teacup Chi survived Parvo (after being dumped at the pound when she started getting sick), one survived roaming the cold streets of Denver, one is only 2 lbs, and Bark Box…what can I say about him?? So now that I’ve hijacked your post, I’m off to get a subscription. Bark Box & Co deserve a Bark Box, right? Especially when they can help out their shelter buddies at the same time. What a great idea!
What a great idea! My dog would love this. I’m now considering it for my sister’s “baby” for the holidays!
