Easy steps to cool jewelry style.

Just last week I was getting ready to attend a fun event at the local (amazing) fabric store, Whipstitch. A lot of you don’t know that I sew and have been since I was 10. I was excited not only to head to a fabric store, but also to see Dana from MADE again. I’d met her at Whipstitch before, and she’s awesome! She just had a new book release, Fabrics A to Z, which is the bible of types of fabric and how to use them. I was also looking forward to hanging out with my great friend Tiffany of Simply Modern Mom. I love crafty people!

Anyhoo, I had to pick jewelry for my fun event, because being amongst creative women in a fabric store requires fun jewelry. I put together pieces from the {styled} by Tori Spelling line.

You don’t have to be a “super-crafty” person to use her jewelry, because everything goes together easily with connectors – so you can personalize what you are wearing. As you can see in the first picture, I put together a bracelet with three strands and then added an owl charm. I loved this bracelet but then I also loved this one . . .

that I put together with a rose brooch and one bracelet strand. I decided to go with the owl bracelet, but I’m going to keep this rose one in mind for the next event.

Then there was the matter of the necklace. Which made me wonder if I should keep the owl bracelet (do you go back and forth like this?). The reason I wasn’t sure was because I LOVE this colorful beaded necklace:

But I also love the colors in this one:

And I’m not sure if you noticed, but I just used the same necklace top and attached these bottoms with the connectors. It took me two seconds to switch it out. Fun, huh?

In the end I decided to go back to the copper look with this pretty necklace with the leaves and beads. It went well with my white shirt and that way I could keep the owl bracelet.

All these pieces are from the {styled} Boho line, which is one of four in the entire collection. Each have different looks and different styles of jewelry. {styled} by Tori Spelling can be found at Jo-Anns and Michaels, and you can also follow the action on FacebookTwitter and Google Plus.
