Dollar store gift box with a jewelry charm.

I was recently at the dollar store when I found this cute little round box. It was $1. Hahaha! It was a shiny gold, and I decided it would be a bit cuter with a little Mod Podge and paint. I actually painted it white, Mod Podged some paper around it and to the lid and then hot glued ribbon around the edge. THEN I glued a fancy charm on top!
I wanted to share the full tutorial with you but my camera decided it didn’t want to share photos and in fact wanted to eat them, so all I can do is describe to you what I did.

But don’t you think it turned out lovely? I like the black and white herringbone with the pink ribbon. I also like the mod daisy charm on top which is from th{styled} by Tori Spelling line.

This jewelry is very fun to wear, but it’s also fun to decorate things with. I actually have another home decor post coming up using a necklace! Here are a few other bloggers who have done a little thinking outside the box with it:

Heather at Dollar Store Crafts turned it into gift bag bling.

Jen from Tatertots and Jello used two brooches in her ten minute shoe makeover.

Now what can you do with jewelry besides wear it?
