Most of you have no idea that several years ago, I took classes in landcape design – so I know my way around a garden a bit. You also probably have no idea that gardening and weeding is one of the few things that I can do without my mind running. Yep – I am always thinking, and I have a hard time relaxing. For some reason I can work in a garden for hours and my stress level lowers. It’s nice to be back near my parents for this reason. Mod Podge Command Central didn’t have a garden, but my mom has her entire backyard decked out. Here are a few pictures.
Both my mom and I are big on organic products in the garden. It seems counterintuitive to use chemicals, so we do whatever we can to stay natural. Recently Whitney Farms® sent us their 100% natural plant foods to try, so we’ve been spreading them around the garden. They make both organic soil and organic plant food, which is pretty cool.
On the rhododendrons. . . .
And on . . . um . . . these flowers (what are they called mom?). PS – I had to relocate a slug for this picture. Ewwww.

We loved spreading the Whitney Farms because it was easy to apply and with NO dust. It also contains beneficial microbes and specially designed protein-based blends that provide plants with macro and micronutrients. With the amount my mom spent on this garden (don’t worry mom, I won’t tell), it’s important that she have the highest quality plant food so that everything can thrive.
The best part?
My piggies are safe. Don’t need to worry about them being in touch with anything nasty outdoors! Thanks to Whitney Farms for the awesome plant food, and I ecourage you to try them with the $3 off coupon! You will be a happy gardener.
