I went to a store the other day in search of a “cute” tool set and was completely disappointed. Um, hello – I’m a girl who likes tools. Can someone please make some cute ones? You know what, it’s okay. Elsie from A Beautiful Mess decorated a plain tool set with gingham fabric, so now we don’t have to worry about buying nice-looking tools. We can make them ourselves. Visit Elsie to get the how-to.

This idea reminds me of my great-grandmother.
When my grandmother passed away and we were going through her house and basement, we always knew which kitchen gadgets and tools dated back to my great-grandmother. She had painted all of the handles red or green. So much for their value as antiques but I still laugh every time I see one of her old screwdrivers, hammers or tools.
LOL. I can relate to that. I don’t know why manufacturers don’t still realize that women are also interested working with hand tools.
Great idea since most of the “ladies tool sets” tend to be of poor quality.
Well, there are pink guns out there, so its only a matter of time until manufaturers discover the female tool market.
Fabulous! I cannot tell you how many times I have looked at my orange handled wire snips & thought “I need to mod podge these one of these days” A whole tool set is just too gorgeous!
