This picture has nothing to do with Pinterest, but I took it today and think it’s funny, so I’m sharing. It’s my dog Roxie with a little ceramic bowl on her head. She wants to be a circus dog, but I won’t let her.

I started using pinterest about 2 months ago, I avoided it at first too. Thought “not another social blabla”. But then it seemd like a better way to save the beautifull and crafty images I found in the internet and downloaded. The downside is that the new images I find are not shown now in my screensaver! I had it set to my pictures folder, so I was inspired to do something whenever my computer is idle. I only hope that I can refrain from Pinning for pinning’s sake, and that I will actually DO some of the stuff that I have put on my To Do list there.

Yes I do PINTEREST…..for me it’s a great place to keep inspiration organized, know who and where to link back to when I copy something and also help promote myself and friends:-)
Oh and I recently just discovered and used Mod Podge SPRAY sealer! WOOT!

I absolutely adore Pinterest. When I first found it, via crafterminds, I wasn’t thrilled. Then I took some time to figure it out, started following my favorite bloggers, and started finding things I wanted to do. THEN I figured out that I could do more than just crafts and food. That’s when my obsession took over. I can find great lesson ideas for my class, I can connect with other teachers, other crafters, and other gluten free people all in one spot. It’s the greatest!

Yes, I pintrest. At first, it was met with groans and I “get” it now but I don’t “get” the big deal. I am utterly amazed that when I pin something, it is being re-pinned by the masses! I find that amusing!

Yes I just joined last week and love it! So many different types of boards and something for everyone. It’s nicely organized too.
I do Pintrest, I’m Iesadora on there and I’m following you now. I try very hard to not go to the home page on there, it’s sooooooo easy to spend hours on it and crashing Firefox with tons of tabs of sites to check out. I really like Pintrest because it’s so much easier to find links then bookmarking pages.

I’ve actually had a lot of traffic come to by blog from people pinning things I’ve made–which is awesome! And I love finding new ideas there too.
I think it will stay a happy place as long as people remember to:
Pin from the ORIGINAL source (not where it’s been featured somewhere and not just a solitary image with no info or blog address)
Not give everything away in the description you type…say there’s a recipe or cool craft, let the creator get the credit and give people a reason to actually click over to their blog.
And this one is more just to help my searching…tell what it is in your title when you pin it. If you just say “Cool” or “I want this” no one will ever find your pin when searching for “painted dresser” or “brown boots”
Anyway, enough from me tonight.
I love Pinterest. I love anything handmade, it is a great place for inspiration.

I’m a pinterest junkie as well, and have been following you for a while. I re-gained some of the time I have spent browsing when I could find the tutorial for the gifts I was making this past Christmas w/o looking through my whole favorites folder! I get a teeny thrill every time someone repins or likes something I originally pinned. I would add “CATEGORIZE YOUR BOARDS” to the tips from Steph @ Crafting in the Rain above.
I like it but I haven’t caught the love bug just yet. I’m very visual so I know that once it’s a habit, it will help me to organize my head just a little more. I tried following you but it wouldn’t let me.

I actually had over 2000 pins–I got frustrated with myself and deleted almost all of them last week! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS because in the way the Universe works, I’ve been trying and trying to find a link to a particular art journal demonstration and I can’t find it.
I’m being very particular about what I pin now. I’ve found that everyone has a quote board, so why do I need one? Same with book page crafts, fonts and wreaths.
I’ve left my crafts board and kid crafts boards unedited, but I’m sure the time will come when most of those pins are gone as well.
In all, I’ve found Pinterest to be a wonderful resource–I’ve found lots of inspiration there; now I need to use it!
I love how Pinterest and all the ladies in blog land have given me the nudge I need to “jump” into projects!

I looked at it a few times, then I realized that I might never get up from my computer again. I could devote my life to looking at other women’s work instead of getting something done myself. It’s like having an open box of chocolates sitting on the table. Common sense would say, just take one; but I know I’d have that box emptied in no time. I am avoiding it because it’s too tempting and I’m on information overload right now.
I loooove Pinterest! I just went on a DIY spree last night! I must have pinned like 50 recycle/upcycle/refashion ideas to my DIY board. Now I need to pick some to do myself!
Personally, I already search the web for awesome projects that I might one day want to do myself. So this just works out so much better to Pin everything to one spot so I can see the photo, not just the link description when I am looking for a project.

I use Pinterest to help organize all the crafty, lovely things I keep finding out on the internet. My favorite places list was getting WAAYYYY too long, and I couldn’t find anything in it. Now, slowly, I’m going to my favorite places and adding those yummy links to pinterest. Easier to find what I need with pictures, too!
Pinterest is so nice for organizing and looking up ideas, a themed party for example. It can suck away all of your free time in an instant, so as long as you can exercise some self control (not always possible for me), you’ll love it.

I love Pinterest but I don’t love some of the things I see on there. I love using it for my own organization and keeping tabs on things. It is much easier to go back and visually browse things I have saved rather than clicking a nondescript link. The few things I don’t like about Pinterest (people pushing religion or body image issues) are easily ignored by not following those people.
