The Original Scrapbox is underway.

So do you remember that not so very long ago I received my Original Scrapbox? The supreme organizing solution for Mod Podge Command Central?  I got it assembled. That means it’s time to do the hamster dance. Yay! If you don’t know what I am talking about, I live in a small, one-bedroom apartment that is a crafting dump. I’m taking you along for the transition from crafting dump to completely usable space.

But before we move along too far, there’s a little matter of the name of my Original Scrapbox. Drumroll . . . . .

Polly McStoresALot!

Thanks to Anonymous and kellyisascrapdiva for the help. Polly isn’t big enough to need her own zip code, but she definitely needed a cool name. And now she’s got one.

Putting Polly together was easy, and here are a few photos of the construction. I didn’t have much space to construct it (hence I need it in the first place; I have no storage), but it went together smoothly.

I actually did this during a day off – I think I was watching a soap opera. Ha ha! I just needed basic tools to assemble Polly.  Nothing special, which is good because I only have basic tools. Note to self (and to you if you get one): make sure you pay more attention to where the boards are supposed to be facing that the television. Otherwise you may have to pop a panel off and re-assemble.
When your Scrapbox is resistant to a pug jumping on it to get your attention, you know it’s the real deal. Roxie!!!

I assembled Polly in about three hours, and that included adding a special touch.

Do you see it? Polly has blue handles and hinges! Yep, I spray painted them. So she’s all together, and ready to be filled with goodies. This is the part I’ve been waiting for, and you’ll just have to wait until the next installment to see the results. Until then, visit the Original Scrapbox to get a Polly McStoresALot of your very own.

  3. I fell in love with this and the sewing one. But yowza the price! I love them though. And your pug is super adorable.

  4. My posts often have a picture that says “now take a minute to photograph your dogs” because they are always with me when I’m crafting, I just think they like the piles of junk to make nests in!

I think I would need 3 Polly’s to organize all my stuff! LOL

OMG…your helper has really made Polly come to life…if only we can teach them to vacuum, right?

  13. My goodness….I checked out the website and I’m just drooling…lol And, of course, this post happens on a day when I am reorganizing (yet again) my craft stuff. I’m like you and have a tiny space to fit everything in—my craft room is also my bedroom (ugh). Every time I look around, I tell myself that I can’t buy anything else for 10 years. So excited for you and your new Scrapbox. I’m sure by the end of this project, you will probably feel like you’ve moved into a new place =)

Love those blue knobs! Hope you have fun filling it. :) I love my Workbox and I’m constantly finding more stuff to put in it.

What a great organizer! It just doesn’t look quite right without a bottle of Mod Podge sitting on top of it though.
