Although Curiosities is shaped like a book and is thick like a book – it isn’t a book. The full title is Curiosities: Vintage-Inspired Adornments for Gifts and Correspondence, and that’s exactly what it is. Sold by Chronicle Books, this cute little kit is a collection of fun goodies for embellishing things. And you know how I love embellishing things. I’m going to be honest, I want to pop open the plastic and take that baker’s twine, but I won’t. Since it’s a kit, there’s not really a formal “book review” I can do, but I can tell you this little box is full of some wonderful stuff: glitter, flowers, leaves, ribbon, stickers and more. You are going to love it, and I’m giving it away. I’m also giving away a Mod Podge starter set because I’m quite sure you’ll use the two together. Right?

There are so many new craft and mixed-media books out there now that I cannot afford them all. I checked the local library and they only had a few of the new ones. The discounted books online at Amazon and Barnes & Noble is the only way I can get any of them. It cost to ship, but some times I can find a book cheaper online than driving to the store and paying full price plus gas.
