Nobody likes hoofing things around in plastic baggies, do they? Baggies break. And then, sometimes, baggies don’t close all the way and stuff dumps out. User error on my part? Perhaps. But we’re going to go with the thought that plastic baggies have their limitations and are not foolproof.
Sara from The Handy Hausfrau decided to forgo plastic baggies for her spices on trips to her ski condo in favor of this revamped medication container. With a few cute little images, she made something practical into something fun! It also accomplishes storage, making something boring more attractive and then being environmentally friendly. Do it for spices for your trips, or even for regular pill carriers. Go here to see Sara’s tutorial.

Blogger who loves the color blue and sock monkeys. You can find me in public easily— I'm wearing glasses and lots of stripes.

adorable and super practical! I’m going to her tutorial right now…
Had to get me a notebook to keep all your idea in. Did you see my Modge Podged place mats for Easter? I love this blog.

Amy, I love this idea! I will go visit her next! I travel from WA state to Wisconsin every year, usually by plane. We stay at a lake in a cabin and I always feel like a fish out of water without my spice cabinet. Why had I never thought of this? I have a bunch of these, as I have a beading business! Duh! I even take these little guys loaded up with beads on the same trip! Thanks for sharing! I also take all of my vitamins and supplements for 2 weeks!
